It's a wrap...2011 has been a successful year for the CMC team. Our National Operations team transitioned multi-million dollar contracts seamlessly. It is a credit to their professionalism, dedication and experience. Our quiet achievers have been our internal support services such as our Business Development team for their excellent transitional and hand-over material, our Customer Service team for compliance assistance, Finance for their experience and skills in financial projections and procurement and our Communications Team for customer report management and ECRM coordination.
The contracts we gained in 2011 have given us the opportunity to expand our National coverage in areas where we previously did not cover.
We have expanded and entered into exciting partnerships with commercial property managers such as Cromwell in Victoria and ACT and Brookfield Multiplex Nationally.
We have also begun a partnership with GE on a National scale. Our educational contracts have also expanded with the Pembroke School in South Australia and Melbourne University (2 sites) in Victoria.
We have worked tirelessly with our suppliers so that we continue to be compliant and have industry-best practices and procedures. A focus in 2011 was our partnership with Fresh Green Clean. We have been working with environmental specialist Bridget Gardner from Fresh Green Clean throughout the past year on moving to totally green cleaning practices. We have had a key site audited by her and her findings have assisted our operations become key leaders in green cleaning as well as helping educate our cleaners and managers. I have been working with Bridget to deliver green cleaning course to management in 2012.
But it is not only our partnerships and processes that have been successful. The key to our success in 2011 has been our people. The 2011 BSCAA Awards saw two of our valued employees be recognised for their contribution to their work at the Cleaning Excellence Awards 2011. There were 15 finalists and Veronica Cooper was awarded the excellence award. The category was Excellence in the maintenance of an Educational (leading hand). CMC were also came runners up for site supervisor award at Methodist Ladies College and also Excellence in company Management.
Staff training was extensive in 2011 with our staff undertaking professional development courses in EHS, Certificate in Asset maintenance- Cleaning Operations, Green Cleaning, Procurement and Management training. We have also invested in systems upgrades and training on our financial, payroll and ECRM systems.
The New Year is looking promising for CMC with relationships we have worked on within the last 18 months giving us opportunities now.
We thank our customers and partners for their ongoing support in 2011. I personally would like to also thank the efforts of our outstanding team. We look forward to an exciting 2012.
