CMC moves with the times
This month, CMC officially launched an application (app) that allows staff to record cleaning audits electronically and send them in real-time to our ECRM (Electronic Customer Relationship Management system).
Our operations team will now carry Samsung Galaxy Tablets to record their cleaning audits when onsite with customers.
Previously, they would manually audit the cleaning using a paper form. The CMC staff member along with the customer would audit the cleaning on site and give a score on the level of cleanliness. The customer would then sign off on the score and overall rating.
We continue to follow the same process, except that it will be automated. CMC staff and customers will do the audit using the tablet. A copy of the quality audit will automatically be sent to CMC’s ECRM system and, if requested, a copy can be sent automatically to the customer in real-time. The benefits for our customers are that the time taken to complete the audits will be much quicker and that they can also have a copy of the audit sent to them within the same day in electronic format. For CMC, this technology cuts our administration time, making us more efficient.
CMC General Manager Elly Krommidas said while the electronic recording of our audits is not new, it is the way we are using the technology that is new to CMC.
“This system will allows us to automatically send copies of the cleaning audit to all our stakeholders‑our customers, supervisory and cleaning staff- at the push of a button. It allows us to efficiently record audit information and to move away from a manual system with the aim of become totally paperless in the future,” she said.
“We have been developing this application and software for the past five months and have been consulting and trialling with some of our customers. We thank the customers who have assisted in the trial and look forward to being more efficient together in the future”. |
